Today marks the annual La Festa di San Giuseppe tradition in Sicily; remembering the Middle Ages when my ancestors prayed to their patron saint for rain to bring them through a crop-hindering drought and preventing famine. It worked; and Joseph is now celebrated and remembered yearly for this.
