South of the South

The delicate mixing of man & nature in metropolitan areas has always been of interest to me. Ideally a city should be built around, not over, the mature landscape that drew settlers there in the first place - the trees providing shade over low-rise office building windows. It’s a shame to see trees once growing undisturbed having to stretch themselves out of the shadow of a newly constructed tower for sunlight. I thought everybody wanted a shady lane, not a dark alley.
