Pitchfork: Do you feel less appreciated in Florida?

Surfer Blood: For a long time, for sure. A lot of our shows sucked. But we just kept playing shows. And we always want to do all-ages shows. Most of the clubs are 21 and over, so what we usually do is book a 21 and up show, and then, the next day, book a free all-ages show somewhere, or play a house show. And people are really catching on. It’s so amazing that there’s people in Florida that are just so fucking helpful. I tell everyone that I love Florida. It’s definitely a love-hate thing, but I think it’s really turning into something exciting. (via Pitchfork)
