Living Essentials, the makers of 5-hour Energy shots, is one of my new favorite companies. Simply because they followed the perfect combination for success: A legit, honest product with a clear benefit to the consumer Effective pricing/advertising/marketing That’s all it takes. That’s it. The 5-hour Energy shot was clearly developed with the customer’s health in mind, using a perfect mix of essential energy vitamins and low dose of caffeine (a decaf version is also available).  In an industry packed with calories, caffeine, sugar and lies, an alternative was warmly welcomed. In my experience, there was absolutely no guesswork involved: this drink did exactly what it says it will do, and as fast as it is advertised to. The first time I used 5-hour Energy was on a work trip to Miami, on which I foolishly left Orlando at 5am instead of the night before to shorten the length of the trip. By West Palm Beach I was alternating between driving and sleeping. Within 2 minutes if drinking only half of the four-ounce bottle, I was alert and awake. I then followed up a four-hour drive with a nine-hour workday, never feeling fatigued or unfocused.
